Resources for Parents
This page is designed for you, the parents of our valued high school students and prospective students. We have collected some online resources we think will be especially valuable for the immediate family members of our students.

Parent Advisory Committee
The one thing we can never get enough of at OHP is listening to our constituents. We love to hear the ideas and suggestions of our parents, and we try to take each one into consideration. We encourage you to get involved with your child’s education and learn more about the various ways OHP can help propel them to the next level in life. One way you can do that is by joining the high school’s Parent Advisory Committee. Email JoEtta Spain, our recruiting and placement coordinator, if you are interested or if you have ideas and suggestions.

Stay informed with Student News
Keep up with OHP news and events by subscribing to our email newsletter or by visiting the News & Events page. You can also see what goes on at OHP on a daily basis by subscribing to one or all of our many Blogs or Podcasts. Also, High School Director Nila Marquard publishes her Director’s Notes each month during the school year and you can download PDF copies by clicking here.

Grandparents’ Day!
Grandparents’ Day takes place each and every fall. Spend the day with your grandchild attending class, visiting their labs, eating at the Hi-Point Inn, and much more. To see pictures of our last Grandparents’ Day visit the Multimedia page and for more information, click on Contact Us.

OHP is a two-year career-technical high school affiliated with 14 schools districts in five counties. We believe in the ability of our programs to prepare students for the rigors of college or entry into the workforce through our various programs, both on our main campus and through our satellites.
