HVAC
OHP's newest adult and continuing education program, HVAC, will help students acquire the knowledge and the basic skills necessary to become excellent HVAC technicians. Students will be in a focused and hands-on curriculum that will prepare them to pass the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification Test, the EPA 608 Certification Test, and the R 410A Certification Test. The HVAC program was formed to meet the needs and demands of this growing career field. Classes are held at both OHP's Bellefontaine campus and at our new satellite campus in Urbana.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The HVAC program is designed to train competent service technicians and installers to fill the ever-increasing need of knowledgeable "techs." Students will be prepared to earn certifications that are highly recognized in the HVAC industry and will then have the opportunity to find a rewarding career in the field. A certified HVAC technician can most often have job security not found in many other careers, along with the freedom to re-locate most anywhere in the country due to the high demand for these skilled workers.
