Ashley K. | Sounding off
All in all... I don’t truly have any complaints about Ohio Hi-Point. There are little things that bother me such as the rules on hair color and piercing. This bothers me especially when we are in Cosmetology and these things are a part of our career. It doesn’t  make sense ...

Ashley K. is a Cosmetology student from Benjamin Logan High School. Since she will attain her licensure at OHP, Ashley has plans to attain a 2-year degree in business while working in a salon.

"I was home schooled from sixth grade until the end of my sophomore year.

This made it hard to come back to a 'normal' school setting. I know how hard it is to change a routine that you have been in for so long, but it is worth it," Ashley offered when asked about making the decision to attend the career-technical school the final two years of high school.

Interests:

I work in a salon as a receptionist, and I enjoy my job very much because it helps me to get a head start on what my future is going to look like since I am going to OHP for cosmetology. I come from a very large family where there are eight kids, and I also have five nephews and five nieces. I enjoy hanging out with friends.

What I Like About Hi-Point:

The teachers are always there to help you, and you also get a head start n your career. I can begin to work as a stylist in a salon right out of high school, and this is going to assist me in supporting myself when I go to college, which I plan to do for a business degree. Another great thing that is especially important is the money I will save. Coming to OHP to get my license instead of a private school will save me and my family almost $20,000!
