Program Description
This program provides students with a solid background to either enter the work field or further their education at a post-secondary technical school. Those entering this career area will gain the knowledge to use diagnostic resources and troubleshoot to repair equipment. A solid understanding of electronics can also be helpful in performance diagnostics, and students will find that many of the skills they learn in this class can transfer to other occupations.

- Basic hand & power tool use
- Safety procedures
- Basic automotive repair
- Diesel Theory
- Engine systems including cooling, lubrication, exhaust and charging systems
- Ignition, fuel, starting, fuel injection and carburetion
- General chassis mechanics & adjustments.
- MIG & TIG welding
- Oxyacetylene & plasma cutting
- Motorcycle mechanics
- Snowmobile mechanics
- Two & Four stroke-cycle engine Theory
