Ohio Hi-Point offering FREE Microsoft vouchers
Ohio Hi-Point Career Center has received FREE Microsoft Business Certification Exam vouchers, including the following: (approx. 350) MOS - Office 2003, (approx. 350) MCAS - Office 2007; Microsoft E-Learning Information/Business Worker vouchers: (approx. 350) - Office 2003 OR windows Vista & Office 2007; and (approx. 195) Microsoft E-Learning IT Professional Standard and Extended Library vouchers. The vouchers are from a joint venture between the Ohio Board of Regents and Microsoft. The vouchers that we received must be distributed and used by August 26, 2010.
Vouchers may be obtained for Microsoft Business Certification online training focusing on a single Microsoft product, such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access and Technical Certification Training focused on a single Microsoft product, such as Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Visual Studio. Vouchers may also be obtained for Microsoft Business Certification exam. More information about the specific courses is available at www.microsoft.com.

Ohio residents may request and receive a voucher.

THIS IS AN ON-LINE PROGRAM. NO CLASSROOMS!
How do I get a voucher?
To obtain a voucher, interested individuals need to send an e-mail indicating their interest along with the required information listed below to: Tanya Knief, Elevate America-Ohio Program Coordinator for Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, at tknief@ohp.k12.oh.us. Knief will distribute the voucher numbers and instructions to individuals once she has received the required data we must collect for Microsoft.
Required information to be returned in order to receive a voucher number :
1. Type of specific voucher
Microsoft E-Learning Vouchers: Information Worker (Office 2003 OR Windows Vista & Office 2007), IT Pro Standard, Microsoft E-Learning: IT Professional Extended Library, Microsoft Business Certification Exams, Office 2003, Office 2007
2. Current Employment Status (full time, part time, unemployed*)
*If unemployed, length of unemployment
3. Length of time in current job
4. Current educational attainment level (less than High School, High School Diploma, GED, Some college, Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, Doctorate Degree)
5. Current wage
6. Age
7. Gender
8. Geographic Location (zip code and/or city equivalent)
Vouchers must be requested and activated by August 26, 2010. Once the E-Learning voucher is activated, online training can be taken for 9 months after the date of activation. Certification exams, however, must be completed by August 26, 2010.
