Back-to-school information released, orientations scheduled

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Bellefontaine Campus will begin the school year on August 25 for new students and on August 26 for returning students.  Both new and returning students will be able to register for the new school year, pay fees and pick up school supplies during the high school’s Orientation Nights scheduled for August 10 and 12, respectively, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. each day.

 

            Students should attend the Orientation Night assigned to them by program.  On August 10, the following programs will conduct orientations: Auto Collision, Auto Services, Auto Technology, Carpentry, Early Childhood Education, Electricity, Electronics Engineering Technology, Health Technology, Medical Care Services and Professional Turf and Landscaping.

 

            On August 12, the following programs will conduct their orientations: Animal Management, Business Administration Technology, Administrative Office Specialist, Information Technology, Building Maintenance, Cosmetology, Diesel Technology, Masonry, Plumbing & Pipefitting, Printing & Graphic Arts, Architectural & Mechanical Design and Culinary Arts.

 

            All student and parents are able to arrive anytime during the 2:30-7:30 p.m. event, but should plan to attend an important session either at 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. in the Seminar Center located at the high school.

 

            Students enrolled in Ohio Hi-Point Satellite Programs will receive information about orientation and registration from their instructors.

 

            Students and parents are highly encouraged to attend.  Critical information and materials will be given out during the event. Progress Book and parent communications, cafeteria information and vehicle registration.  Parents and students will also learn important passwords, complete required forms, be able to pay fees and pick up their schedules for the school year.
