Bringing Career Education to You

We are proud to partner with Marysville to bring career programming—called satellite programs—directly to students. These advanced programs allow students to gain valuable career education without traveling to our Bellefontaine campus.

We offer three career programs at Bunsold Middle School for 7th and 8th graders as they being learning about different career pathways.

Foundational courses in specific pathways start as early as freshman year at Marysville HIgh School and Marysville Early College High School and build year after year, enabling students to earn certifications, credentials, and college credits while still in high school.

Bunsold Middle School

The following career programs are offered at Bunsold Middle School.

Agribusiness & Production Systems

This hands-on program makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems.

Career Connections

Students learn study, organizational, and time management skills and become active community members. Students assess their interests and abilities while exploring careers that match their strengths. While creating a plan for obtaining their career goals, students learn how to seek, find, and keep a job as well as develop a budget and manage personal finances. In addition, employability and problem solving skills are a focus in this program.

Medical Detectives

Students dive into biomedical sciences through hands-on projects and labs. They will learn how to take vital signs, analyze DNA, investigate disease outbreaks , and examine the structure and function of the nervous system .

Students also learn about medical careers, disease diagnosis and treatment, and human body systems.

Media Arts

Students prepare for careers in interactive media and/or programming and software development in this hands-on program. Students gain the necessary technical and academic skills to create, design, and produce interactive media products and services, including audio/visual commercials for businesses, training, entertainment, communications, and marketing. Students also develop, test, document, implement, and maintain computer software and database systems. Student also produce the Monarch Message.

Performing Arts

Students prepare for careers in the performing arts field, specifically, theatre, in this creative and artistic program. Students build production sets, read scripts, work with light design and sound, and dive into a world of theatrics while gaining the necessary skills to support production and delivery of an artistic performance. Students learn about marketing, stage design, acting, and work with new video technology to tell creative stories and document performances and events.

Supply Chain Management

Students learn teamwork and leadership skills while enrolled in the program. Students use design and processes to meet the real needs of the end consumer. Students begin to understand business foundations, create product services, develop deployment strategies, use technology to identify target markets, develop shipping & fulfillment plans, and manage logistics. A part of DECA, students are involved in student outreach, community service outreach, and running the school store.

Automotive Academy

Hands-on experience is necessary for careers in the automotive industry. Students will learn how to perform vehicle inspection and maintenance, along with diagnostic and repair of steering and suspension, brake systems drive train, and engine performance using state of the art equipment.

Allied Health & Nursing

Students can explore the many areas of healthcare with a variety of courses. Students may participate in clinical experiences as well as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training. Upon graduation, students may have earned multiple certifications to be able to work in the healthcare field while pursuing further education. Students also learn patient-centered care, medical terminology, phlebotomy, and basic EKGs. Program highlights include: Understanding health science & medical terminology, complete a clinical rotation, observe, assess and report for medical records, perform CPR, and practice drawing blood.
