HEALTH CAREERS ACADEMY
Care for Others, Change Lives: Become a healthcare hero.
If you want to make a difference in people’s lives, Health Careers Academy is your first step into the world of healthcare. With healthcare being one of the fastest-growing industries, this program puts you ahead of the game. In your junior year, you'll focus on patient-centered care and have the opportunity to earn your CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant). From there, students dive deeper into clinical skills, learning how to draw blood, work in trauma room settings, and assist in doctors' offices. You'll also have the opportunity to earn your phlebotomy and medical assistant certifications, boosting your career options before graduation.
Students explore everything from medical terminology and diagnostics to pathophysiology and pharmacology, using real-world equipment and techniques to assess, document, and care for patients. You’ll learn how to take vitals, draw blood, interpret medical records, and observe patients’ mental and emotional health alongside their physical well-being. Whether you're heading into a healthcare program after high school or jumping straight into the workforce, this academy builds the foundation for a rewarding and impactful career.
