Thirteen members of Ohio Hi-Point/Triad DECA recently competed in the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida. About 22,000 DECA members attended the conference that features competitions, leadership training and development, and networking opportunities with DECA members from around the world.
Leading the charge for OHP/Triad DECA was the team of Tucker Webb and Gage Heitman in the Virtual Business Challenge-Retail event. The team of Webb and Heitman finished 7th overall in the world.
The team of Tyler Perry, Michael Warner, and Kane Bailey finished 7th place in the Virtual Business Challenge-Entrepreneurship event. Placing 7th place at ICDC is the highest placing ICDC finalist in the history of OHP/Triad DECA.
The VBC-Fashion Management team of Hailey Blackburn and Gracey Gilpin finished in 8th place, and VBC-Entrepreneurship team of Reid Todhunter, Cameron Thomas, and Hunter Thompson finished in 9th place in their respective events.
Also representing Ohio Hi-Point/Triad DECA were Megan McManaway, Xander Spain, and Alyssa Conley.
