Additionally, Alyssa McKinley was recognized on stage during the leadership conference as part of FCCLA’s Yes to FCS, as she will be majoring in Family and Consumer Science at Bowling Green State University in the fall.
Other Ohio Hi-Point/Graham FCCLA students who competed at the national level included Faith Medley and Elena Portis in Chapter Project Service Display; Hailey Langford, Serenity Teets, and Savannah Artis in Public Policy Advocate; Alyssa McKinley in Promote and Publicize FCCLA; and Hailee Cruz in Public Policy Advocate.
Malachi Teets, who serves as the Ohio FCCLA President, was the flag bearer during the opening ceremony and managed state chapter meetings throughout the conference.
"The students' achievements at the National FCCLA Leadership Conference are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the quality of the FCCLA program," said Superintendent Dr. Rick Smith. "We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the way they have represented Ohio Hi-Point, Graham High School, and the community on a national stage."
The conference provided FCCLA members with a wealth of incredible opportunities, including attending inspiring speaker sessions, engaging in youth workshops, competing on a national level, and networking with fellow youth leaders. By exploring career opportunities and instilling real-world skills, advocacy, and service, FCCLA empowers its members to make an impact that will guide them on their journeys throughout their lives.
