MARYSVILLE, Ohio – Before summer break, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Automotive Program at Marysville Early College High School held a successful car detailing fundraiser, raising $1,140 to benefit Impact 60 in Marysville. This initiative was promoted to Marysville staff members and ran from May 16-21 during the school's Spring Seminar.
Spring Seminar allows students to dive into courses and activities they are passionate about, encouraging both exploration and personal development. This year's seminar enabled the automotive students to participate in a hands-on learning experience while also contributing to the community.
Ohio Hi-Point/Marysville students offered car detailing services at $40 per detail. The fundraiser not only showcased the skills students were learning in the program but also their commitment to making a positive difference in the local community.
The students chose to donate to Impact 60 to make sure funds raised would stay local, supporting initiatives that address various needs within the community, such as homelessness, hunger, mental health, and addiction.
"We are incredibly proud of our students and our teacher, Mr. Christian, for providing car detailing to raise funds for Impact 60," said Allison Koch, Ohio Hi-Point Career Tech Supervisor. "The support from the Marysville staff was incredible, and it's great to see our students apply their skills in a way that has such a meaningful impact."
