John Case, Ohio Hi-Point's director of technology, has been honored as an inductee into the Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony took place on Thursday, November 21 at Marion Technical College where five outstanding alumni were recognized for their achievements.
“This impact of this institution doesn’t stop. We are punching above our weight,” said Dr. Ryan McCall, president of Marion Tech, said, “That is true for each of these alumni.”
Case has been with Ohio Hi-Point for 25 years and has helped create statewide standards for the ethical use of AI in public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. His dedication to fostering a digitally safe and innovative learning environment for students has made a lasting impact on Ohio Hi-Point and beyond.
Dr. Rick Smith, the superintendent of Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, nominated Case for the Hall of Fame induction, and praised Case as "one of the smartest individuals I know," emphasizing his passion for personal growth and his unwavering commitment to encouraging students to reach their full potential.
Case expressed gratitude for the recognition and said, “I believe in the power of education to change lives. This recognition is a reflection of the incredible support, mentors and friends I’ve gained over the years. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a distinguished group of alumni, including my mother, Pat Case,” he said. “I look forward to continuing to make an impact.”
