On Saturday, Feb. 22, students from Ohio Hi-Point’s Culinary Arts program competed in a variety of culinary events at the FCCLA Region 4 Culinary Career Development Events hosted at Sinclair Community College. In addition to earning medals, several students received scholarships from Sullivan University, a sponsor of the competition.
Skye Scott, a junior from Bellefontaine, earned Silver in Garde Manger; Carissa Meyers, a junior from Marysville, earned Silver in Decorated Cakes; Kayla Musson, a junior from Ridgemont, and Zoie Schoby, a senior from Marysville, earned Silver in Pastry Tray. They also each received a $6,000 scholarship from Sullivan University.
Bradley Bialecki, a junior from Triad, Alivia Hines, a junior from Graham, and Addison Moist, a junior from Indian Lake earned Bronze in the Culinary Team event and each earned a $3,000 scholarship from Sullivan University. Deven Auske, a senior from Indian Lake, earned Bronze in Decorates Cakes and a $3,000 scholarship from Sullivan University.
