This week, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center's Cosmetology students and SkillsUSA Central Ohio Regional Officers, Richiona Burnell and Casanas, along with Weston Helman, a Graphic and Media Arts student and Ohio SkillsUSA State Officer, braved the cold to participate in the SkillsUSA Regional Officer Training Institute (ROTI) in Columbus, Ohio.
Burnell and Casanas were elected as Central Ohio Regional Officers during the Fall Leadership Conference in November. ROTI provided these leaders with valuable opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, collaborate as a team, and advocate for SkillsUSA and Career and Technical Education to legislators.
Ohio Hi-Point continues to support students as they take on leadership roles and represent the career center at regional and state levels.
