The OHP Math Department hosted the 13th Annual Numeracy Challenge on Thursday, Feb. 27. This annual competition challenges students to apply their math skills to career-related problems, emphasizing critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Each career program was represented by a junior and senior team, working together to solve complex mathematical challenges relevant to their field of study.
The results of this year’s competition are as follows:
Senior Winners:
First Place: Structural Construction – Nate Stevens, Jordan Hensley, Gavin Boyle, Aiden Fink
Second Place: Engineering – Bradley Cooley, Donnie Dunn, Elias Abrego, William Dulebohn
Third Place: Education – Sarah Russell, Mallory Pummell, Gabby Koon, Riley Banks
Junior Winners:
First Place: Cosmetology – Makayla Rowley, Kylinn Powell, Destiny Ramirez, Audrie Williams
Second Place: Heavy Equipment – Hannah Volp, Easton Predmore, Zerek Longbrake, Chilton Smith
