Chase Davidson, a sophomore at Riverside High School, was elected Treasurer of the Business Professionals of America, Ohio Association on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Davidson is a student in Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Media Arts and Business and Administrative Services programs at Riverside High School. This is the first student from Riverside to be elected to the BPA State Officer Team.
As a member of the 2020-21 Ohio BPA State Officer Team, Davidson will attend monthly leadership training sessions to grow his leadership skills and help plan and conduct the 2020 Fall Leadership Conference, 2021 State Leadership Conference, and portions of the 2021 National Leadership Conference.
“I am incredibly grateful for this wonderful opportunity to represent and advocate for all of my wonderful, strong, intelligent, creative, and dedicated peers in the Ohio Association of Business Professionals of America,” said Davidson. “I am extremely excited and hopeful about the year to come and can’t wait to be able to do all of my amazing peers justice.”
To be eligible to seek state office, a BPA member must first demonstrate leadership at the local and regional levels. Davidson served as the parliamentarian at Riverside High School. Michelle Weadock and Lindsay Wyan teach the Media Arts and Business and Administrative Services programs, respectfully, and are the OHP/Riverside BPA Chapter advisors.
