Over Spring Break 11 OHP and 24 Marysville students traveled to France for a week as they learned about French history, culture, art, and language. 🇫🇷🗼
Students indulged in French cuisine, fostered new friendships, and toured the country as they climbed the stairs of the Eiffel Tower and cruised the Seine by night, They also visited the beautiful Hall of Mirrors in Versailles and the chateaux of the Loire Valley. During their trip, the students had a moment of remembrance on the beaches of Normandy, as they recognized the sacrifice of the American soldiers who died during WWII.
✈️ Registration for the 2025 educational tour to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is now open for current juniors and accepted sophomores. Please see Mrs. Young for more details or to learn more about OHP's Humanities Travel Program. 🌎
Exciting News! 🎉 Seats are still available in our Drone Technology program. This one-year program equips students for careers in agriculture, construction, or law enforcement. You'll fly and land drones, use flight simulators, and learn the concepts of flight. 🛩️ Open to juniors or seniors, this one-year program is a half-day option only. Apply at www.ohiohipoint.com/apply.
Due to the impending weather and the majority of the partner schools releasing early, Ohio Hi-Point will dismiss at 1:45 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 2, 2024). Bus riders will be released as their partner school bus arrives. Be safe this evening!
Ohio Hi-Point will not be in session on Monday, April 8, 2024 due to the solar eclipse. Did you know this is the last total eclipse we’ll see over the United States until 2044? Our communities are in the path of totality and will experience around 3 minutes of darkness in the middle of the day.
Remember - You must always look through safe solar viewing glasses (“eclipse glasses”) or a safe handheld solar viewer.

Over 700 Ohio FFA students participated in a livestock judging event at the Logan County Fairgrounds, hosted by OHP/ILHS FFA.
FFA students from 78 schools judged cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, poultry, and dairy cattle. The event, aligned with Ohio FFA and Department of Education standards, serves as preparation for the State FFA Judging contest.
Students were evaluated by experienced FFA livestock judges. Local farmers and the Indian Lake FFA Alumni Group provided animals for the contest.
🇫🇷🍳 Bon appétit! We had a fantastic French cooking demonstration in the Sloan Kitchen this morning in preparation for this year's Humanities trip to France.
Culinary and Humanities students mastered the art of Crème Brûlée—a dessert once served at royal tables, as they topped each dessert with a caramelized top. They also cooked cassoulet, a peasant dish with white beans, vegetables, tomatoes, bacon, sausage, and cured duck legs. The students used the bacon they made in another cross-curricular lesson with Mr. Rose's science students.
Need a personal trainer? We have FIVE! 💪👊 Congratulations to these Exercise Science seniors for successfully passing the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Personal Training test and earning their certification! 🎉
